My girlfriends and I are planning our girl's trip to Miami during spring break 10', however, we don't know where the best place to stay~ we want to be in view of the ocean, possible night clubs, but in a safe area to walk at night and be around other tourists~ So with that said, where would you recommend us staying and doing? Our budget is around $1500 per girl, and we are splitting everything 4 ways!! So please give reasonable suggestions~ thanks

you definitely want to stay on Miami Beach. I would recommend the Shelborne beach resort in Miami Beach. Have fun !

Miami Beach, and to be more specific South Beach. If you want to be close to everything, make sure your hotel is not north of 20th Street and you will be close to everything then, as everything pretty much is between 17th and 5th Street.

Stay anywhere on South Beach. South Beach is extremely safe as long as you aren't an idiot.

Loew's is the ultimate luxury spot if you can split it four ways like you are. But on the beach stay anywhere between 4th and 18th Streets, either on Ocean or Collins. I live on the beach--it's awesome! You can walk the streets at any hour safely. If you want a chill place to go that the locals hang at, ask a cab to take you to Abraxas Lounge. A lot of people go there before going "out out". It's on 4th street in a residential area. On a Friday night there's no better place than Monty's on the Bay, between like 6 and 11 pm. Also a place to go before going "out out". Have a great time!
