Need affordable housing areas ASAP
Considering relocating within next 2 mos. I've done a few searches on online and keep seeing posts suggesting the luxury suburbs. If I see Pinecrest listed one more time I just may scream. I'm pretty sure there are people in Miami who do not make 350K or more per year! Help!!! Where do the "regular" people live? TIA
Married, 3 children, need safe area with safe schools. Apartment is ok. No luxury required.

What is your budget and where is your job? These are the most important factors. In general, these are middle class (not extremely expensive), safe areas with decent schools:
-Kendall
-Miami Lakes
-Tamiami
-Westwood Lakes
-Ludlam/South Miami west of US 1
-Doral
-Miami Springs
-Aventura

Thanks for the responses. After reading more posts on this forum, I have a picture of Miami as one of the most racist major cities in America. I'm still in shock from the limitless racists comments here. There are so many people posting that are disgusted that non-whites live in Miami. Reading the comments truly made me ill. I suggest to those who can not abide living near non-whites that you find some remote part of the country and move there ASAP. Miami or any other major city is the LAST place you need to be.
