I think they are closing the Goulds Post office, it's in the "hit" list for possible closings. It's really old with glass windows, no automated stamp machines, and no customers, kind of creepy. I don't think people even know it exists.

I beleive your right, it's the only post office I go to because it's always empty. It's creepy as heck. No lines, no wait, be carefull. Thanks for your post

doors living in Princeton was very quiet since all of the developments there are about 15 years old or so. Never had any problems with crime but it was east of US 1 & SW 248 st. I enjoyed the 9 years I was there. The only issue was that grocery stores weren't close by since it was either the Publix to the north or Winn Dixie to the south.

It really is a great neighborhood (the people who live here), yet the crap that goes on to the east of us is what has people here on edge. Everyone in this neighborhood has a firearm and talks to each other. I've personally been pan-handled in my front yard many of times, I heard "my car ran out of gas down the road can you lend me some money for gas", or "Its' the holiday season, I have 13 grand children can you please help out" and then the one that tops the cake, I'm changing the oil in my vehicle and someone taps me on the foot, "Can you please gime some some coffee" I offer water, "no I want coffee not water", well you can imagine what I told him and I never raised my voice. When I first posted this topic I thought I would not get one response, however I believe there is alot of history in Southern Florida that get's thrown by the way-side because of what happened here after hurricane Andrew. This area (and south of it) is synonymies with the aftermath. What I want to know is what was it before, not now, I know what it is now, I live it everyday. I just wish everyone knew where to go to tell there story. Anyway, I am thankfull I've had some people speak there mind, thank you to all.

In what years did you reside here? I'm under the understanding that it was mostly farm lands before. This area was once a stop for the East Coast Railroad. That's the stuff I'm interested in, not the alternative reallity that I live in now. I know this is'nt the best area in Miami-Dade County. Any-how thanks for the comment, I'm glad there's people like you out there.

i was there between 1996 until the fall of 2005 when Katriana hit. Our subdivision which never floods was deluged with several feet of water. We had water close to our knees inside the house and my car was a total loss. My brother who owned the house decided to sell since now there was mold to contend with and he wanted to relocate sold he sold and made enough to relocate us to Orlando. I'd rather be back in Miami though!
