Just interested if anyone lives in this part of town and would like to share old photos, current ones, history and stories of the area.

I think you can get lots of photos of the area from police mug shots. As for stories, well there's always the online sex offenders registry.

In other words, there's nothing thre worth seeing. It is a high crime area with very poor people and a lot of drug problems.

Thanks to the both of you for your honesty, and attempt at humor. Unfortunately I happen to live in the place and I kind of have to see it everyday. I'm not poor and I don't have a drug problem so maybe the other 99 percent do. I was just trying to see if there was anyone in out there who may have lived in the area before.

no Goulds is around SW 216 st but the further south you go on 112 ave. it becomes Princeton ( used to live in Princeton off of 248 street)

According to this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Goulds.gif I'm on the North West end of Gould’s. I agree the further south east you go, the more evident it becomes you’re not in a great neighborhood, yet the stuff that goes on in the heart of this part of town, definitely spills out around the surrounding homes. For instance I had a guy dig out a newly planted plant/tree from my front yard and he asked a neighbor down the street if he wanted to buy it for 5 bucks. For the record, it's the only thing that's happened to my wife and I other the occasional bum that strolls through the neighborhood pan-handling us in our front yard. Anyway thanks for the post MiamiRob, how was it living in Princeton?

Wikipedia?'

I think they are closing the Goulds Post office, it's in the "hit" list for possible closings. It's really old with glass windows, no automated stamp machines, and no customers, kind of creepy. I don't think people even know it exists.
