Also do not forget that for the overwhelming majority of property taxpayers around Miami their taxes actually INCREASED!

Our corruptacrats in the government will tell us that its about money but that's just their effort to seperate us from ours. No amount of money will fix lack of moral upbringing. In fact, high taxes are more RESPONSIBLE for this problem than they are a solution. If most families didn't have to have both parents working to pay the bills maybe one would be available to actually raise the kids!
Yeah, boohooo until you call 911 and it takes 10 minutes for an officer to respond because they cut back on patrol officers due to budge constraints. Hope your armed !

Move somewhere safer. Not thing I disagree because police/teachers/etc suffer when we want lower taxes. The best thing to do is to live in a place where there issues (safety, taxes) arent as much of a concern (if you can).

Cops and teachers suffer, yes, but the REAL suffering will be the citizens when they start to see all these budget cuts materialize into higher student-teacher ratios, increased response times, no DARE programs in schools anymore. All due to the greedy citizen that had to save a mere 250.00 a year on property taxes. It makes me sick to the stomach that we live in a TAKE TAKE TAKE world and only think about ourselves. Well, many people are going to be in for a very very rude awakening...mark my words.

No, the government lives in a TAKE TAKE TAKE world. Taxes have blossomed at a much higher rate than population gains in Florida recently. They should learn to work with less, just like everyone else. No more of these $300/s.f. shining fire stations with granite counter tops.

Hey the government seemed to do OK before house prices (and tax revenues) skyrocketed. They didn't go out and splurge on cops and teachers so where did the money go? It never fails to amaze me how government can sqander OUR money during the good times and then turn around and ask for more during hard times.

The sales tax used to be 4% when I was young here. It's PERCENT based so why should it ever have to go up if government is only growing at the same rate as the economy? Only if government grows faster than the economy sould then have to raise it.

On day we will go to a direct democracy without elected corruptocrats. Then you will see a tax policy that is mroe in line with real economic growth.

You see Cuba Libre, you still have some good points in you head. By the way what do you think of the last ACORN film production.

Shaved on the sides , close cropped ...actually very similar to what Aryan supremacists low lifes use also .... I guess all scumbags like that type of haircut no matter the race or ethnicity ... yes our Puerto Rican friends are out of control ... I travel to the Island frequently and I have seen enough plucked eye brow fools to last a life time ... funny thing is that they think it looks "metrosexual " when in reality it looks ghetto as hell

Funny that most of the young Cubans that use this "hair style" are the sons of fairly recent arrivals who tend to be very "ghetto" ... the sons of the Cubans I went to college with in Miami in the late 80's would skin their kids alive if they went out and got those "hood rat " haircuts .

I bet Liberace is in there with ole Paul ..... I don't even think that those two old flamers plucked their eye brows !!
