Miami isn't the place to go if you're afraid of Spanish and Hispanics :0)

But look at it as an opportunity instead of a burden, and it's great!

Just so you know, there's always a lot of friendly arguments between residents of Miami-Dade and Broward counties about which one is better

Miami is a little more exotic, and straight up, it's going to be closer to where you are no matter how you cut it

Broward is a little more Americana, a little quieter in some places...however it'll take you longer to get to work. Some of the posters are correct when they say that your traffic on the turnpike will flow very well...it's when you get off the turnpike in Doral that's the problem...Rush hour through the middle of Doral sucks A LOT

Let me share with you the last bastion of small town America left in Miami-Dade county, it's called Miami Springs...it's close to Doral, and there's a very family oriented feeling to it. Skip the trashy apartments along NW 36th st and 57th ave and drive past them to find a very nice area with parks and golf courses. It's nestled between the Airport, Doral and Hialeah and one would probably miss it driving by if you didn't know where to look.

And like previous posters have said, Doral is nice too, if a bit congested, and in some areas prone to mild flooding.
