A week in Miami for visitors- Teens
Please let me know some places that visitors would like to do in Miami for a week. Ages: 15 and 19, they are coming for Christmas break. Any suggestions for day trips, places to go, eat, unusual things, that would be great. Thank you.

Matheson Hammock, South Beach (the boardwalk and Ocean Drive for scenery, Collins Ave and Lincoln Road for shopping), Venetian Pool, Coconut Grove (take them to one of the restaurants with a waterfront tiki bar - don't have to drink, can just go for lunch or dinner), Dadeland/Sunset Place.

Spend a full day out in The Everglades National Park Everglades National Park - Plan Your Visit (U.S. National Park Service) Walk around the trails or take an airboat ride through the everglades.
Maybe a full day in Key Largo at John Pennekamp State Park, so many things to do here. Kayaking, snorkeling, dive/snorkeling trips, glass bottom boat ride, sit on the beach, so many things. Welcome to John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park - Key Largo, Florida Keys
Viscaya Miami-Dade County - Vizcaya afterwards go to Coconut Grove for a bite to eat.
At the end of Key Biscayne is Bill Baggs State Park, the is a lighthouse there you can visit, you can also rent these 4 person bikes and ride around. Main Page - Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park » Florida State Parks
Thats 3 FULL days right there.

Malls have been mentioned, but not Dolphin Mall, which has a Dave and Busters, movies, and bowling too. Aventura Mall is popular for teenagers to watch movies on the weekends, but as much for teenager shopping, IMO.
December weather is better for being outdoors. How about Metrozoo down South, easily a full day. There is also Monkey Jungle way down South, which would be more "exotic", could also possibly visit the alligator farm near the south entrance to Everglades.
Going on a speedboat tour could also be fun...kind of makes you feel like you're on CSI Miami or something Bayside is a good place for that. If they're into basketball any, the American Airlines Arena is walking distance away, and the Heat may be playing. Where else can you go on a speedboat tour and then walk to a basketball game right afterwards?

Everglades National Park is a must. In December it will be great.
Obviously there is a lot of shopping. Go to Miami Beach/South Beach around 4pm do some shopping and Dinner. Go the two beach one day that is also a must. The water is still warm enough to swim in December. For upscale shops go to the shops at Bal Harbor. For some cheaper outlet stuff which has good upscale merchandise at reduced prices go to Dolphin Mall or Sawgrass Mills.
Other stuff:
Miami Heat game,
Jungle Island
Metro Zoo one of the largest Zoo's in the US
Miami seaquarium
City Tour, (duck tour, boat tour)
Venetian Pool
