Local lore has it that a drug lord built a bizarre house west of Homestead near the corner of 393 St. and 214 Ave. I've been told it was also a nudist colony at some time in the past. It's abandoned and suffering from transient occupation and vandalism. I'm wondering if anyone has some info on it?
Thanks!

Have you seen this place in person and are trying to find information on it, or are you wondering if it exists out there at all?

Is it more west of Florida City than Homestead, near a prison? If so I have been to it, it was maybe 10 years ago and it wasn't painted that color, but it was a "space ship house" and it was NOT a nudist colony when I was there lol it was a house where *aparently* a family that had numerous foster children lived because of cheap rent, from what I could gather. I think it is the same place, just painted differently. It was wierd, isolated, dated...but functional.

Thanks, Chelito. It must be the same house as it is really more west of Florida City than Homestead. It's almost directly west of the prison and the large park on the way to ENP where soccer is seriously played on weekends. Sounds like the same place you saw. There can't be more than one of them!

Yup that is it. It was wierd at the time I was there. It wasn't painted that color either it was just faded and ugly. The inside was just as strange it felt like a house the Jetsons would live in or like the space needle. I remember it had these tiny winding stairs to get from the first to the second floor. The bugs were so bad there too I remember...and I also recall getting lost trying to find that address.

Default winding stairway

That's definitely the place. The stairway is so narrow, I almost couldn't use it. So were you visiting there?

Well I was heading to the Keys with some friends and we were picking up one of my friend's boyfriend who lived there or was staying there, I don't know the story behind that (it was like 10 years ago). We went into the house only because he wasn't ready and it was July so we didn't want to be sitting in the hot car waiting outside. Just kind of dumb luck and coincidence that I stumbled upon this one wierd house. Why were you there? lol

I went the other day. Unfortunately, many vandals have beat me to it.
