There are a few other posters on here that are borderline racist but you three guys seem to be intelligent and have heads on their shoulders ... why spend so much time on one subject ... again I do not get it ?
I am in Houston on a business trip .... why I am spending so much time on this forum .... don't get that either ?

Well, I don't hate Miami overall, I have said that before. There are things I do like about Miami, but they are out weighed by my dislikes of my home town. I live in a good area as many know, but it doesn't matter where you live because you still deal with the issues of Miami when you walk out of your house. Here is what I like about Miami. I like that we have great dining options, I like that we are so close to the beach and the Keys, I like that we have great shopping, I like that if I need to get something like toothpaste at 3 am I can, I like that if I want to take a cruise I don't have to fly before getting to the port, I like that there are many different types of food from around the world here (maybe not great, but it is here).
But then I hate other things like the traffic, crime, the weather, the lack of cool weather, that we only have two seasons, the lack of great customer service, rude people, hurricanes, the me me me mentality of many people, I hate how many Miamians try to be something they are not (If you can't afford that Fendi bag, don't buy a fake Fendi we know it is fake, it just tells us more about you), how packed restaurants are on the weekend (at least a hour if not more wait just about every place), I hate the lack of community, I hate that we don't get to know our neighbors (not every where, as I know my neighbors), I hate that the parking lots of some places are so packed during the week you can't get a spot, I hate that I can't leave my windows open at night during the winter months because of the fear that someone is going to crawl through the window.
Well I can go on an on, but as you can see I don't hate Miami. In my travels, I have learned that there are better places to live in my opinion. You know 15 years ago I thought Miami was still a great place to be, but it has changed and it isn't a place to be for me anymore. I am tired of always looking over my shoulder.
To your second question, I have learned that when people first move to a new city its like a new toy, everthing is great with it. But after awhile that new toy loses the sparkle and that new toy isn't so great. I have learned that some of these people that post on here are new to the city or they came from places that is not great (Cuba, Detroit or a little town in Idaho). Of course Miami is going to be great for them. For instance someone coming from Cuba today, of course Miami is great in their opinion, look where he came from. Those that think Miami is so great, usually can be put into one of those two options, not always, but for the most part yes.
I just want people to have the real truth about Miami, not a view that is half the truth (the good side only). I have said this before when I ask questions about cities we are looking at moving to. I want to know the good, the bad and the ugly. So I try to do the same for those asking questions here, this is why I am here.
To your last question we don't stay on one topic usually for long, usually in a week we are on to something else. It all depends on what question someone posts on here? Or what new poll/study someone finds like "Miami is #1 for rudest drivers."
I hope this helps.
