Harry, I agree that it would be interesting to give another category to the areas that are extremely wealthy, but doing this on a block-by-block basis would be nearly impossible and incredibly time-consuming. The best I could do is to put the new label on Key Biscayne, Star Island, Fisher Island, coastal Pinecrest/Coral Gables/Coconut Grove, Golden Beach, and perhaps a few of the other islands off of Miami Beach.

Excellent work! I'm a map geek, and I'm very impressed with what you've done.

I suppose my only problem would be how many areas of Kendall are classified as yellow. I grew up in a section shaded light green, but surrounding areas such as Winston Park, the Hammocks, and the Miller/Lakes of the Meadows areas would be easy green shades to me, but are on there as yellow.

In any case, job well done!

Would you really call Lakes of the Meadows an "above-average" area? Winston Park? I agree that most of the Hammocks is an above-average area, so I have most of it as light green. Remember that yellow doesn't mean bad, it just means "average desirability" or "so-so." No neighborhood within the traditional boundaries of Kendall is below-average, but I certainly wouldn't call all of West Kendall "above average." Thanks for your input, though!

Yes!!! I just saw that Google is now allowing people to view the map in its entirety, on one page, without having to click through three slides to see it! This makes my night!

that yellow area by Okeechobee road in East Hialeah is not average, it should be light red. Crime is common there and the place is not very appealing to the eye. That area does not compare to other yellow areas like some parts of Killian or Kendall.

Three Lakes by country walk should be green for sure.

Jeez, lolita, you're so hard to please. Stereotypical Colombian woman. Just kidding.

Anyways, I agree with you about SE Hialeah. I have changed it to make most of it red and only kept as yellow the small neighborhood where the streets have names and not numbers - it looks more like Miami Springs than East Hialeah. Three Lakes - that's really a toss-up between yellow and light green. I think that most of it is pretty average, so I am really reluctant to call it an above-average area by changing it to green.... but there are some nice homes there.

Lakes of the Meadow definitely. It's nicely kept in there, very nice landscaping/etc.

Agreed. Winston Park I would also consider an above-average area. The housing is nice and not cheap, they've got a well-regarded school and park in the center, and low crime.

I definitely don't think all areas of West Kendall are light green material, but I would take any area in Winston Park, Lakes of the Meadows, or the Hammocks over the area South of Country walk, between 137th ave and 167th ave south of Coral Reef Drive, which is shaded light green.

I had a good friend growing up who lived in that area, and I remember the neighborhood as being full of kids up to no good. Not a true ghetto area, but lots of weed selling and smoking, tagging, breaking into cars, fights in the streets...and eventually my friend ended up getting shot and killed in this neighborhood as well.

Perhaps I'm jaded by personal experience, but I've never had a high opinion of the place, especially versus the above.

No I disagree, Crisp did a very good job in the area, he does have some yellow on it. I disagree with some of the dark greens but I'm not sure about the exact boundaries (parts of Cutler Bay close to Whispering Pines or East Perrine and the South falls area by 152 st, and some parts of East Kendall by Dadeland should be light green, but it's hard since things can change from block to block
