Cris, great job! This gives a great visual of how some parts of town change so quickly: one minute you're driving past nice houses, go a block or two and the neighborhood changes dramatically. This should be pinned to the top of the board for easy access.

This is true! I don't know Broward County well enough to do a detailed map, though.

Miami-Dade County - Google Maps
After a quick look I'd say it is pretty accurate.

Hello, Cris (crisp444), and thank a lot!!!! I have no words! Maybe "outstanding"? lol...Do you know if there is a map of public school boundaries like this?(with rating) I'm thinking of making one (if none have been made) Could be a really difficult task, with(for example) Coral Gables Preparatory Academy on the same school boundary as George W. Carver Elementary School.

The sweetwater area isn't bad either. It's updated a lot. Especially west of 109th ave. & Ronselli park. I would make that yellow. It's a safe older neighborhood.

Other than that, great job!

Ooops, lost that map for a second. Without looking, forgive me, great areas to live (depending on your commute), would be Aventura, Highland Lakes area of N.E. Dade, Skylake area, some portions, Coral Gables, Pinecrest, Bay Point (big bucks) well big bucks and nice digs for South Beach, accompanying Islands off of 5th Street bridge are for celebrities and CEO types, Key Biscayne is very good, Downtown Miami is infuego!! In fact the Brickell Area through uptown Miami and all east is great. Bring your checkbook though, lots of brand new glittery high rises and all that, again vertical. Safe too, what a 360. Your maps is really big and detailed, and upon first glance is pretty accurate. This conclusion is based on livin large and small in Metropolitan Miami, which people do not realize is huge.

Unwritten rule to the new kids in town: Remember anything south of Flagler Street (that includes south, and southeast), you need to be bilingual. Remember Metro Miami is big time Hispanic and some Hatian percentages. That's why trilingual is almost the new norm.

STAY AWAY OR ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK AREAS: Unless you are feeing suicidal: Miami Gardens which you have in Pink, should have a skull and crossbones over that. Highest murder rate on a per diem basis in South Florida. Enough said. Overtown, which is just east of 95 southbound is not great, Liberty City, and areas surrounding an I95 corridor -- areas west of 95 from 119th Street south to 5th, are scary. DO NOT ENTER ZONES are 103rd Street southbound - anything west of 95 bad news. The further south you go as in 95th, 79th, and streets in the 50's West is danger zone.

Taking up too much space here, sorry. Forewarned is forearmed. Ciao 4 now

Another post: Besides keeping your Spanish book right by your side if you choose to live anywhere close to the Palmetto, better get a good book on How to Avoid Road Rage. While you are at it, get an audio CD on meditation and patience and place emergency food in your car. Unfortunately, you might have spend a large portion of your life living in it, as traffic is not a mere nightmare -- it is reality. On the other hand, if you have a lot of shares in say BP, Chevron and those big oil or gas companies - you will see your stocks rise most definitely.

I absolutely think that you have made the most wonderful contribution to the Miami area community... There is not another map as well detailed as the one you have created! By the way, I loved the colors...
