Those houses look pretty nice. So you say that's a rough area. can you give me a crime report or crime map so I know what neighborhoods to really watch outfor. Cause people told me that same thing in the past of other cities (LA, Pheonix,D.C) and there were perfectly safe areas. Of course they were right by bad areas but the specific area was fine. So if you can get me a crime map or something I would appreciate it.

Miami is not like those other cities u listed, there is an astounding population of gangs in some areas, watch shows like the first 48 , all take place in Miami. With a huge influx of poor citizens legal and non crime is out of control. Places like Miami gardens police won't even venture at least not willingly, they're over run by criminals.. I stay as far away from Miami as possible. Given there are very nice stops indeed, but unless you're living on the beach forget it.

Are you serious??

I have never ever lived on the Beach and I feel very safe... Been in Miami for 32 years...

By the way, the most dangerous area in Miami that you are probably referring to is the "triangle" which is located in Opa Locka, not Miami Gardens...Opa-locka, Florida - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Why are posting info on Miami when you don't even live here? (says New Hampshire as your location)...

The poster probably drove thru one ghetto and decided thats how all of Miami is. Miami Dade is a large area I have been there plenty of times but I don`t feel can evaluate it like someone who lives there.

I did like what I saw thou it was fun.

In Miami the house is the thing, so they want yards to be kept to a minimum.

Some of those houses are not necessarily in a rough or bad area. Its just what most of the houses look like if you drive through an everyday middle class neighborhood.

And I agree with spyderman33, I've lived here pretty much my entire life and have never lived on the beach, and I've never had a problem and have never felt like I was in danger of anything happening to me. Common sense. I wont go to Opa Locka or Overtown at night by myself, but I've lived in regular neighborhoods and have always felt safe.

Anyway, back to some pictures...

Around Little Havana

House in Hialeah $325,000 (3/2)

House in Kendall $410,500 (3/2)

unbelievable....Miami is not overidden by crime. there are nice quiet neighborhoods like Miami Springs, Virginia Gardens, Coral Gables.....Yes, there is petty crime in these neighborhoods, but that's not why I left. I left because the people are so rude. Everywhere, and I am a Miami native myself. I've been in North Carolina now for two months and love it! You don't have to live only on the ocean to enjoy it. You just have to have common sense and don't venture into Liberty City at night.

We live in Miami.

Not Weston. Not Coral Springs. And, certainly, not Boca.

Come down and visit sometime.

It is 42 degrees here , dreary , gray and cloudy , every thing is brown ... nothing but ugly little strip malls and dreary little neighborhoods ... but I guess that it is ok because it is Connecticut and not South Florida .... give me South Florida any day !!!

And those that complain about Downtown Miami ... you should see Downton Hartford , dirty , dreary , ugly and nothing nice except the convention center and the Hartford Insurance building .

I live in Boca and have family in Weston and Coral Springs and I never , ever see those nasty little houses as I choose to stay out of Overtown , Carol City , Miami Gardens and Hialeah . I would much rather live in nice house with a small lot than a crappy little house with a big yard ..... Tall Rick do you ever post anything positive on this forum .... your act is becoming tiresome .

I am the first to agree that there are many negatives down here including some rude people , although I find that is exagerated on this forum ... you reap what you sow . Ghetto mentality heck yeah , it hate it ... but you have that everywhere nowadays .. go to Atlanta , Houston , Los Angeles , Tampa , Charlotte ( which is everyone's panacea on this forum ) .

Man it just gets tiring to see mindless posts on here repeating the same over and over again ... why not just enjoy the photo string with out bringing up the negatives ?

I would but everything I liked about Miami is gone. All destroyed to make way for the ugliness of condos, shopping and homes with that tacky stucco and "architectural" detail. This is true of practically every city, but Miami-Dade county is where I was born and raised, and I am only relating my experiences. Unless you are a Florida native, you cannot understand.
