Those are some amazing pics! SO amazing, in fact, I think I might have to save em'! Nuff Said. Anyone who hates on those high quality shots should have their head examined...Why the gay photo hidden in the middle??? What's that all about???

Honestly I do not know. I liked looking at Miami when I was younger, but a lot of that is long gone. Generic condos and high-rises just don't appeal to me, and the neighborhoods around Miami are too desolate as well. Probably the best areas to look at are the parts of Coral Gables built before the 70's and select areas of southwest ranches/davie/redlands/horse country. If I had my way I would like to be in 1950 in Miami.
Wouldn't you rather live in a neighbohood like this?

The pictures posted above ARE beautiful. It reminds me that Miami can be a beautiful city... as long as you don't look at the people.

The reason I posted this is that by the 1970's that area had become very much landscaped and was one of my favorites. Then the drug dealers, yankees and others changed it into an overpriced, unfriendly place. With space there is potential, but if you start with something like this:
No room for anything and you live close enough to your neighbors to hear them flush the toilet. Probably tomorrow's slums.

Rick, I just looked at your pictures and I honestly think that the area around there between Killian HS and Kendall Drive looks just as nice or better today. I think the difference is that now it is a richer area and lots of the houses have been expanded or torn down with newer, larger ones built in their place. Another difference is that although you still see some pine trees on Killian Pky./SW 112th and on a few of the avenues north of there (97th, 87th, etc.), many of the pine trees have been replaced by more tropical-looking palms. Overall, that is still an extremely desirable area; some of the houses go for $1,000,000 in that neighborhood! LOL I think you would like Big Pine Key very much if you like all the pines and a more laid back, pseudo-rural area.

Tallrick, the pictures you posted are everything I am trying to get away from in my current place. Different strokes for different folks.
