I am already certified to teach in Florida and this is the main reason why I am considering to join Teach for America in Miami-Dade instead of other states.

I recently got accepted to TFA..but I'll be in the San Antonio, TX corps. I am, however, a product of the Miami-Dade public schools system (as are my kids) and I have no complaints. However, the schools TFA places their corps members in are low-performing schools in the inner city. I know several people who teach in these schools...some of them love it, some don't.
