No, but the OP stated they did not want traffic. Grove can have traffic issues at certain times of the day.

Okay I was just hoping for a first hand look, that was all.

I couldn't imagine the traffic would be bad on the residential streets, but like I said, I'm not there.

Hi all, I'm the OP. Thanks for all your advice. From my online research, Coconut Grove definitely looks like the place that fits the bill - for all the reasons you mentioned above. But you never know until you see it. I am planning my first driving tour through that area, specifically avoiding the dangerous areas I read about on this site, and looking at those properties suggested above. I can't wait to wander around Kennedy Park. If I have time the same day, I will check out Coral Gables, and Merry Christmas park. My second driving trip will be down Old Culter, and I can't wait to see Matheson hammock and fairchild. My intuition is that I am not going to be able to afford a home there, but I am going to look nonetheless. Then I plan to spend a day chacking out Pinecrest, Coral reef park, Coral Bay Park, etc. I'm worried about Palmetto Estates being too far south, but I am still going to drive from downtown Miami there to see for myself. I actually found alot of info on Miami Parks recently on yelp.com if anyone is interested in searching that site. I will post here what I find out. If anyone else has any more opinions on nice streets or parks, I would still love to hear it.

Thank you!
