Looking for locals personal favorite beach....for whatever reason: people watching, natural beauty, etc.

List the beach and the reason(s) why you picked it.

Bill Baggs State Park in Key Biscayne...it's so quiet and peaceful there...or Sunrise and A1A in Ft. Lauderdale. The beach is clean and on the quiet side, and there's a Primanti Bros. Pizza and lots of little restaurants and such across the street.

Bill Baggs State Park in Key Biscayne, for sure. You can enjoy nearly almost all days clear and calm water. For me it's one of the best beaches in South Florida.

Miami's South Beach is a good one, tho it's like saying "go to venice beach" if a tourist is going to LA.

For a truly tropical island type feel beach, I think Key Biscayne Bill Bagg's state park or Crandon Park has the best beach.. Tons of Coconut palms, clear blue water, nice sized beaches.

Haulover Beach in norhtern Miami also has a fantastic beach, beautiful water, etc. Part of it is a nude beach, however most of it is a regular beach. The nude beach has a bit of a reputation for being quite the site for the eyes, I must say....and im not saying the sites are good if u catch my drift.... I'll say it can be "interesting"...

Also, the from Haulover beach north you've got Hollywood Beach and Fort Lauderdale which have great beaches as well.

I'll second Bill Baggs State park as a good local beach. Myself, I prefer to drive down to the Keys and go to Sombrero Beach or Bahia Honda State park. Bahia Honda was once voted best beach in America and it's worth the drive.

There's not much of a beach there though. It's mostly a kite surfers place.
