Houston covers a larger area, but Miami isn't that dense compared to Houston.

Again DC is in the same state as Miami DC is located in the south but has a greater influence from the north... And has alot of northeast characteristics...
That's why northerns feel it's apart of the northeast..

Wow..
You really have little knowledge of the south do you.
You have to be the most opinionated, yet cluless poster on this forum...

Anyway, about DC. You don't have a small chunk of residents in DC claiming to be southerners either do you?

I consider Miami to be a Northern Cuban city.

Where the people actually live there is no comparison - the densest areas of Houston (which are few and far between) barely match the average density of Miami in total. Have you ever been to Miami?

Yes and it's not that dense outside of the downtown area. Houston's most dense area is about 17k.

If I was told this before I visited Miami and was looking forward to a vibrant, dense city. I would be very disappointed.

Why is this thread still going on? I've said it a million times on the forum, and probably in this thread too. But when the media portrays a city in a positive manner, it is NOT southern. Therefore, Miami is not a southern city.
