OH man, yeah I grew up with a family cottage (grandma sold it almost ten years ago:/) in Gulliver, near Manistique with the most beautiful untouched beaches and sand dunes on Lake Michigan....similar to this property for sale!

Information Sheet for Listing #8445

i'm not selling this...just reminded me of our old cottage....

HA, just noticed it is on the same old drive too!!!

I'm from Upper Michigan, the Marquette area. Lake Superior is an amazing inland sea. The Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is a must see. If you kayak, you definitely want to kayak around that area and Grand Island. Check out Marquette Country for a snippet on this area. Mountain bike trails galore, inland lakes, Marquette's lakeshore is all open to the public with sandy beaches. Historic buildings, great places to eat, sandstone buildings built with early mining and logging money.

detroit is a small fraction of michigan....if i had to answer that in one question it would definitely be the traverse bay area and sleeping bear national park.

You know, it amazes me how much people didn't realize about Michigan. Growing up here, I always knew about the sandy beaches and assumed that everyone knew about them.

I just got back tonight from seeing a friend outside St. Joe, and the drive through was awesome--rolling hills full of orchards and vineyards and fields full of deer. I always think of orchards when I think of home--the apples, and cherries, the cider and donuts..ahhh. It's a peaceful paradise, and only one of many things I love about this place.

I hope I can come back.
