Just want to add that Michigan's winters seem like a cakewalk compared to some other areas in the country, so all you snow bashers keep that in mind!
I love that much of lower Michigan at least has four DISTINCT seasons. The weather may fluctuate (as it does in many places), but Spring is Spring, Summer is Summer, Fall is Fall and Winter is Winter - each lasting three months more or less doing exactly what they are supposed to do.

Thanks... Much appreciated! You have to have a positive attitude to make it through tough times. Being negative and complaining does nothing but put added stress on you.

I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. Tough times really make you take a step and realize what is important in life. And for me, what is important is living in a place that makes me happy, and for me, Michigan makes me happy!! Although, it's always been a dream of mine to live in Montana also!

Being happy can also get you a job. My daughter recently applied for a pretty nice summer job. There were a lot of applicants. They chose her because "Most people you age (18) walk around with a long face all the time, nothing is good enough for them, you are always happy every time we have seen you. We want happy people to work with our customers."

Stay bhappy. It can help you find work. An employer is not only looking at your qualificaitons and expereince, they have to work with you every day as well. Who wants to work with a gloomy gus?
