You don't have to go that far , the higher elevations around Marquette are changing fast. Most of my smaller maples have already changed to full color. The big sugar maples are getting there also.

Nice. I'm going to have to get back up to McBain soon. It has been years since I was through town (Used to live up by the christian school there.)

The Palate is just too large , here in the U.P.....for any pictures ( from my humble photo equipment) , to due justice. Besides , if we showed you all everything...you might not have a reason to come on up and ...see for yourself ! LOL

We've lived here for 16 years. Kids went to both the Christian and public schools. We could have picked anywhere within an hour to build, but we fell in love with the area's rolling hills and farmland.

When is the expected peak for the Marquette area? It's just starting down here in the LP (near TC area).

You have about 2 more weeks, for full color. The higher elevations are first. Colder nights also help. It was 39 last night. This week should be in the 60 daytime , and low 40s, high 30s at night....The maples are already full color in places , like around my house on our Mountiantop. next week will be the real turning point.... For those wanting full color ( somtimes half is more dramatic), Oct. 1st is the target date.
