You will probably need to consult with an attorney to sort things out--there are a lot of issues at play here. Did your grandmother have a will? How was the property titled? Did your mother have an ownership interest when your grandmother passed? Same questions with your mother--did she have a will? Was she on the title of the property? Simply paying taxes on a property does not convey ownership. You should try to get this sorted out sooner rather than later. (And it's most likely that your siblings and cousins have no ownership interest which they can sign over to you. A chain of title needs to be established.)

No all wrong. If you owe back taxes and property went to tax sell as long as property is paid off you can quitclaim deed it to someone else then it is both you alls responsibility to pay back the person who bidded on it the back taxes plus 20% of the bid within a year. If you do not sell the property and it remains in tax sell then 30 days after the bid you can go to tax office and pick a check up for the remainder

This was your first post on C.D...and it is totally wrong. You'll note that this thread is about Michigan's property tax foreclosure process. Once property is lost to tax foreclosure in Michigan, there are no redemption rights. Also, in Michigan, a former owner does not receive compensation if the property happens to sell for more than was owed in back taxes.

Going through the same thing the owner abandon his property I like the property the taxes are cheaper rather than chance it at auction to compete I'm sure he is not coming back I know there is risk but I'm willing to take them good area too.
