multi-culturalism isnt fair for anyone, especially white ppl who are supposed to tolerate so many losers ruining all of our cities and raising our taxes so we have less money to spend at home on our families. also because our cities are ruined we have to live in suburbs which equals increased commute time to work everyday and increased gas costs. its been proven that the average white worker will lose a week of his life working for a year due to traffic because they cannot live closer in the urban cities. thats just one example, black ppl just arent seeing the big picture here.

smart whites will always continue to strive to make as much money as possible so that they can buy their way out of "equality" and raise their family in a nice, clean, safe area. i dont see why blacks and other minorities dont understand this.

africans as an ethnic group are composed of a large amount of losers whether they want to believe it or not. sure they have their good apples too, but even a broken clock is right twice a day. the fact is is that they dont even have a thriving technological society of their own, they blame everything on others and alot of them bleed off the good fortune of indo-europeans who built this one and other first world nations.

they cant even get along in their homeland of africa, much less living under another mans society and rules. yell racist all you want, but thats the truth of the matter and i really genuinly do wish it wasnt like that, but i cant fix it and thats the world we live in. i just adapt to it the best way i see fit, isolation.

my best friend is black and sees it the same way and chooses to isolate himself in unaffordable housing as well. we talk freely about this kind of stuff because their is no bigotry or ill-will about it from me, this is the world we live in. i dont like losers of any race, but i'm not blind about who has a significantly higher percentage of them.

You are correct. I am black and I isolate myself from the majority black population as well. My family has always chosen areas where housing/cost of living is unreachable for the average "minority". I live in Las Vegas on the outskirts of town and see more and more thugs moving into the upscale area I live in. There is more graffiti, more crime, gang activity, loud music, and unkept homes cropping up. They are coming from bad areas of southern California because it is cheaper to live here, so they are able to afford or rent homes (due to so many being in foreclosure...able to get them at good prices) in nice areas with better schools, however, they bring the ghetto mentality with them and ruin the new areas. Now I am looking to move to Paradise Valley, Arizona where low income/low class people will not be able to follow. White areas are the most desirable, liveable, and safer areas. I don't mind being one of only a handful of blacks, I assimilate just fine.

This is familiar to me as many white people think that I am the exeception to the rule as well. It used to really bother me, but over the years I have learned that blacks cause some white people to feel this way when they meet a black person who can actually put a sentence together.

yes, I agree. What I find distressing and bewildering is white urban youth who attempt to emulate this ghetto mentality.

It really isn't the color of skin, but the company that you keep. I for one refuse to raise my daughter in an environment that has that type of culture.

Your post points to economics as well. The housing market is failing in your area, allowing people of less economic means, less education to move into the area. I assure you, these black people with ghetto mentality are not doctors, lawyers (Kwame's mentality at the education level is really is an exception ) executives, business managers...

They are people "rubbing 2 nickles together" to get into these areas by the skin of their teeth. Their children are clueless of the opportunities they are blowing... thinking it is better to "be real" and keep up the ghetto mentality in their new clean suburb. WAKE UP!!! Look at Michael Vick... He wanted to remain "true" to his legacy. That doesn't mean that you can evolve to something better... realize your potential.

OK, generally I avoid these topics but I have to say/ My family and I live in the Warren area. Last year when we moved into the house the racial difference were about even on my street. We had tow nice black ladies that lived across the street from that were great neighbors. But since they moved out and a younger black family moved in our once quiet street has turned in to nothing but noise. Last night we had our first drive by shooting and because of the couple across the street. Not all blacks are bad, just like not all whites are bad. But this is why my family is leaving Michigan all together. Its always the bad apples that make everyone look bad, no matter what the race is. Unfortunately, African American, Latino and other minorities get help and special grants from the government that white families can not get. If there was a scholarship for all an white student it would be considered racist, but what about the NAACP scholarship. Maybe you should really look deep everyone should have the same opportunities in my eyes but for a white person to speak there mind its pretty much always considered racist.

Exactly. The whole "keeping it real" mentality is holding these types of people back. Having an education, living in the suburbs, speaking proper English, going to see a play rather than sitting at home watching music videos all day is being a sellout. You are right about them not realizing their potential. They finally have the opportunity to attend a good school where they can advance, yet they continue to act like animals.

The housing market has been a huge burden on suburban areas. Real estate investors are now turing their investment properties into section 8 homes. Communities are really suffering because AGAIN the ghetto mentality enters the desirable areas. I am noticing many people moving, including the black lawyers, excutives, etc. One cannot imagine what this area will be like in the next 20 years.

Kudos to wanting the best for your daughter. I do not have children but when I do they will know nothing of the hip-hop, hood rat culture. I feel sorry for the children that are raised in that type of environment. Little girls desire to be "models" in rap vidoes and little boys think the only way to earn money is to rap or be in the NFL. It is time for blacks to raise the bar!

NAACP scholarships are provided by people who donate their money for that cause. There are scholarships that are aimed at American Indian, Jewish, decendants of American Revolutionists... the list goes on.

However, federal grants are based on need.

I did not received grants, or scholarships. I paid my way in school for my associates at a junior college. My employer paid for my Bachelor's degree as a benefit as an employee.
My niece (whose brother I have already mentioned) had the chance to go to college for free. She is white. She did not go to school. Instead she is getting drunk and fighting her parents, totaling cars, and lives with mom and not contributing to household even though now she is an adult.

Why didn't she go away to school for free? At this point, why doesn't she join the military?

I can understand your frustration about not getting benefits of being Black.... no really I do... because like you, I haven't received them either.

Probably the only benefit I personally have received is a federal guarantee that my college application had to be considered due to quota. Without this guarantee, my application may have been thrown away in spite of my academic achievement, ability to pay, and good character. In the 50s and 60s, this was common practice.

I am not knocking you for leaving a neighborhood that is declining. I am doing the same.

I just want you to judge me by the things that *I* do... not judge me for what others do that happen to LOOK like me.

I do not judge someone by what they look like just by how they present their self and the things that they do. Its the bad apples of every race that make it bad for everyone else. I am just tired of hearing all the same gripes.
