This has already been done. It's called the Mixed Economy. What we have in the United States is NOT real capitalism, but rather a mixture of capitalist elements and socialist elements.

What good does it do for society for a few to make 100 million of income a year? Not much.

That depends on why the people who are bringing in $100 million/year are raking in that kind of money. What if someone invents something that improves everyone's life or many people's lives and the economic value of that invention to people is $5 billion? Might the inventor and entrepreneur warrant earning $100 million?

If the incentive to benefit from research and development and from taking huge financial risks disappeared, would anyone take the risks? This is all just simple economics and common sense 101.

Now, I'll agree with you that perhaps a great many of the people who are bringing in $100 million/year don't deserve it, but at the same time, there are legitimate economic reasons why in a just society someone might warrant earning $100 million/year.

The Detroit area is not the only place divided about race. I moved out of state and live just outside South Bend. I see the same stuff here as I did back home. As far as rap music goes, it depends on who it is on whether or not I believe its an art. Run DMC didnt write songs about F*** women, or beating down whores. They also didnt bring a gang mentality to their music and start wars with rappers and get the whole east coast against west coast drama going. They provided something different and it caught on. But it has to go to an extreme and these new rappers end up shooting each other as if they are still in the hood. So yes, when a car goes by blasting this crap and the bass so high my house rattles, ya I think its "ghetto". The statement American still does not trust us is a little absurd since we voted in a Black president. He was not voted in by blacks only. America saw an intelligent man that could make some changes happen. I think blacks are harder on each other than whites could ever be. In the beginning of Obama's campaign there was concern that blacks might not vote for him cuss he might not black enough. But the city of Detroit loved Kwame with his diamond earring and thug lifestyle. If anything blacks cant see past skin color. They see a black man like Kwame and vote for him. They love the flashy cars and clothes. No substance, meanwhile he is ripping off the city and killing dancers. As I see it, the problem with poor black communities is the lack of strong black men in them. Many children are raised without their father's involvement. Are whites afraid of Detroit? No. Ever go to a Red Wings game? Do whites want to live in the ghetto part of Detroit. No. Why would they? There are blacks that dont want to live in ghettos! People that live in ghettos, live there cuss they cant get out. Your type of post is tiring. Your looking for an argument, plain and simple.

If people took more time to get to know others outside of their "group",before believing the trash that the media puts out there and relying on statistics without researching the validity of them...maybe atleast there could more tolerance amongst us.

Researching statistics is a thing most people don't have the resources to do. How would you plan on researching a races population on your own? How would you get all the crime records? You would have to rely on records from the government and contrary to what you see in the senate or house of representatives, the government is well represeneted by many races, so I really doubt the government is reporting false statistics. I've have the fortune or some people might say the misfortune of growing up poor in white, black and hispanic areas and I must say that income was the biggest factor in everything.

The lower the income the more crime, if you let it being poor can get you really depressed and you do things out of desperation I've been in and out of jail enough to testify to that. Luckily in my late twenties my life changed and I attended college and obtained my MBA. Learned many things and can understand the challenges of the poor.

I would have to say that poor black people have it worse, not because of racism but because of the mindset of the community there are more obstacles to over come. Being called an uncle Tom etc or if you decide not to engage in speaking slang, you are often not seen in a good light or if you speak out against the lyrics in songs.

I hope no matter what race you are that you look at the bad and or ignorance that you grew up in and decide to do your best and try to be better.
