best places to rent/live near Monroe/Temperance Michigan
I'm originally from Toledo, Ohio, and after 12 years in the military and government jobs out of country and state I'll finally be returning close to home when I transfer to Detroit Metro in Romulus, MI. I want to be close to my family but not necessarily in Toledo, and have easy access to I-75 or US-23 for work. I'm trying to get information on nice rental properties in the area in between and Temperance and Monroe seem to be the best half way points so far, but I'm up for suggestions. $800-$1200 month

There are few apartments in or around Temperance, but the northern edge of Toledo has thousands of apartments and they are incredibly cheap by Michigan standards. On the Michigan side of the border (Bedford and Erie Townships) there are more manufactured homes than apartments.

Some of those northern Toledo apartments are better avoided nowadays. There's some nice stuff south of Ann Arbor, close to 23, if that's not too far to drive to work.
