Sorry for the board hijack, but I'm sure some other folks noticed he posted 6-8 weeks ago that he wasn't doing well health wise....

I keep checking, and I haven't seen a post from him in nearly a month.

I'm just worried. Usually he's so talkative, handing out good advice to silly young whippersnappers like me (er, okay, I'm hardly young, but I have the brains of a bat!)...

Anyone know if he's okay??? We've been through our own health struggles, and usually when we got quiet, things were very very bad.... so.... yeah, I'm probably making a mountain out of a molehill, but....

Sorry, back to posting folks.

I do hope he is okay. Hopefully something minor has called him away from the addiction of CD.

Last I talked to him on Facebook...he was doing pretty well. He had some health issues, but seemed to be doing better. I see him talking to others recently, and seems to be under heavy meds. ill shoot him a message tell him we miss him.

Kudos to you for demonstrating compassion. This is one of the best threads I have read in a long time.........Now that is what you call a "Topic". Thats what is it all about....concern for our fellow human beings. Less compition and more cooperation.

Ohhh, thank you.

I sent him a PM after that email message. I think I recognized the tone. He filled me in a bit, which is why I was worried.

I figured he might well be recovering or medicated, either of which could make him too tired to visit, but....

Well... life is life. And I was worried.

I always appreciate his sage advice, and no-nonsense way of looking at things. Sometimes what I most need is a wake up call, and he calls them as he sees them. I admire that.

Not enough in this world. And he does it with genuine compassion too. He's a great asset here.

I'll breathe a little easier at least, and just be patient until he comes back to say hi. I don't want to bother him, I've been through some heavy medical stuff, sometimes just the basics of life are enough to get through, and the time recovering is best spent being fussed over by those who love you. LOL... now that's an image, Darstar letting a bunch of folks fuss over him...

Thanks Moldman. You're awesome!

Oh, my motives are entirely selfish, I assure you. I've learned a lot from him (and I'm toying with actually being ON that bridge. Someday. Maybe). I just want to make sure he's healthy, and happy, and has decades left of letting me pick his brain.

He's a nice guy, and always had a pep talk when I needed it. There aren't enough people like that in the world, so you have to protect those natural resources, you know?

:P

But thanks for the compliment. Been through hard times myself, have some Southern roots. I think Southern Hospitality is just a kissing cousin of Northern Neighborliness!

Your welcome! I sure miss him also. He is well traveled, and could have chosen anywhere to live, but chose a fantastic place in Upper Michigan. He is a great asset to these forums for sure!
