In fact, it inspired no interest in me in that car whatsover, not even enough to lookit up on the internet and see what it is (an I am a car buff). It was a great commercial for Detroit, but I think that they should have said something about the car, or showed more of it if they wanted people to become intersted in the car.

What is it? I ahve never heard of a Chrysler 200? Some sort of BMW competition? Is it like a lexus? Cadillac? Taurus? Does it get good mileage? Does it go fast? Is it nice inside? How many peole does it seat? All they told us was that Chrysler makes a sedan called the 200 and it is made in Detroit (is it made in Detroit? I am not even sure of that. At elast the Cherokee commercials tell you that it is designed and made here - well probably not in Detroit, but at least inthe US).
The 200 is made in Sterling Heights.

My guess is that you don't fit the demographic they were targeting (like me, who wouldn't dream of buying a mid-sized sedan for our large sized family). Even if you liked the ad for the Detroit aspects. Apparently web and dealership traffic after the ad was pretty high.

When it comes to this ad, I agree with Indentured Servant and Z3N that some people can't seem to see the forest for the trees.
What forest? There is no forest after the stumpgrinder and wood chips are hauled away already.

Default Eminem's language

Being concerned about somebody's potty mouth to the exclusion of all else is narrow and one-dimensional! Much like the focus on Detroit's crime and blight.
And yes, many good citizens do swear, it's their actions which are important.
Many people who sin constantly against their fellow man won't allow a naughty word in their presence (we've all met these hypocrites).
Nothing is one-dimensional - but some like it simple for the sake of their immediate agenda.

You sure have a lot of angst against Eminem and Chrysler. Let.it.go.

^ I second that!

I don't live in Detroit now, but lived there for 2 years in the 90's (auto industry.) I fell in love with the city and the people. I always defend it.
