For all you Greenville people, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. I want to hear your feedback on that new tunnel they are putting up by the BigBoy. I personally think it's just gonna be a place for people to get mugged... Got any opinions? Better yet, anyone use it weekly?

For you people who have no clue what I'm talking about, I live in a town called Greenville, and they are putting a big concrete tunnel underneath the road, mainly so people don't have to cross the road, they can just walk under it.

It looks sturdy enough, but with the few gangs that are here, it could be a potential hangout for mobs...

I'm guessing they builders put a security camera in there, but even then, it's not 100% gangbanger proof...

I know, I shouldn't be as paranoid, but I'm just curious.

I'm intrigued. Is this the general area?
big boys, - Google Maps

I don't see the BigBoy, but Google says it's here. I can't see how a tunnel would be justified. It looks like a quiet 4 lane road.

I Live in greenville and i know a guy was hit and killed at that corner and i did walk up to it and look into the gate that is closed and they are cameras insie there but i assume rather easy to break if neeeded who watches it the county do we even have dispatch anymore i just moved back after 2 years I think its a waste of money it is a 4 lane rd yes and i could guess pretty close on a normal friday or saturday prolly about 20-30 thousand cars most the walkers i believe are during the week and the only traffic i could see would be those appartments behind the bowling alley. as for retroit scroll up the road slowly and its at the corner where the meijer sign is and walgreens this map does not show it maybe i'll take a pic if i feel ambitious some day.

What are these "gangs" in Greenville that would supposedly be mugging people at the tunnel? Greenville is my hometown, most of my extended family and friends still live there, and I know nothing about these so called "gangs".

It's only been five years since we moved away, I have a hard time believing it's been taken over by gangs

Lol I wouldn't say the town has been 'taken over' by gangs, but I know what the OP is talking about. I've never felt very safe in Greenville. It's such a pretty and nice town, but there are a lot of creepers there.

So...one guy was killed and they want to put up a tunnel? Do they realize how many tunnels will have to be built to prevent anyone from being hit and killed by a car? We might as well become moles.

(BTW, will the 3rd grade teacher at Greenville Elementary please spend a little more time on spelling and punctuation? Thank you!)

I'm with you.

How about putting up a pedestrian bridge? Seems like it would be a lot cheaper and easier to do. Bigger cities have those things all over the place. Is there a reason they are avoiding the easiest and most obvious solution? Have the Greenville leaders ever been outside of Greenville?

I live in Greenville and I actually like the tunnel! A pedestrian bridge would have been an eyesore.

What's all this talk about gangs? Lol. Cute.
