According to anonymous poster after anonymous poster, Michigan is dead, or dying and about to breath it's last breath. There is no hope, no possibility for economic recovery, and every last one of the 10 million who live here is doing so for stupid, invalid reasons. Our very existence in Michigan is an exercise in futility.
So, for the sake of argument, let's just say you are right. We are on a downward spiral with no hope of recovery, no hope of getting better. Michigan is fatally ill.
So, naturally, we should all begin packing up and leaving. Of course, this will leave behind billions--maybe trillions--of dollars worth of buildings, businesses, homes, infrastructure, not to mention millions of acres of natural beauty. Oh, and the Great Lakes.
My question is for those of you who are obviously smarter than the rest of us dummies and have escaped the horror that is The Great Lakes State.
What should we do with the state once we have all vacated? Make it a giant national park? Turn the Detroit Metro into THE Federal Correctional Institution? Set fire to the entire state just to watch it burn? Give it to Canada? Just leave it empty?
What, since you are so sure that Michigan will NEVER turn around, should we do with it once we have all left?
