Thanks again guys for the information, sorry I havent been online in a few days.

idw2s, its funng you talk about the cloud computing aspect of things as Im looking at getting into that line before I go over because I believe there's a huge potential in the jobs market in that line of work. I intend to start looking for jobs before I arrive to see if I can secure something. I can apply for a visa alright and come to the states before it is approved due to the fact I am married but Im not sure the exact stripulations on work until then, Im actually going through all this this week now.

As for the jobserf, I quickly glanced at the site and it looks reasonable enough. I cant see why its controversial over there, it seems similar to recuitment agencies which we would have here albeit you pay for the service. Over here companies pay the agencies for the service of finding propective candidates while at the same time I could approach the agency, free of charge, to identify a job for me.

I lived in Michigan my whole life with two kids and my wife was born and raised in Armagh Northern Ireland. She Moved here about two years ago. I can tell from my experience life will be very different over here and will take some getting use to. Its not all bad not all good. However no matter what people are saying the job market over here is improving daily and with your degree you will have no problem finding work. The factory's in Michigan are by far the largest employers and there need for IT professionals is great. Think about Grand Rapids Kalamazoo area. There are dozens of small towns between Kalamazoo and grand rapids. Also if you enroll your kid in Kalamazoo school there university is free. I know what the cost of fuel is back there but don't be afraid of driving over here. Currently the price of gas is .048 euros a liter. Also housing is much cheaper then in Dublin. In the Kalamazoo area you can get a nice house in the country side for under $120,000. If you have questions about getting a green card let me know the process can be intimidating.
