Can not wait to find a city to call "home". From a family of original homesteaders/land granters (grantors?)--late 1700's, early 1800's. No one ever left except for an estranged uncle (Air Force career and then stayed in California) and my Dad for job transfer. Dad/Mom went back in 1985, couldn't wait to leave NJ and go back home. Most of the family is still Lansing/Holt/East Lansing area or within an hour of "home".

Port Huron area. I have lived all over the country and this area ranks as one of my favorites. I might be moving to Montana next year for a job promotion. So, if I leave, it isn't because I don't like the area. Been living here for the last seven years and love it!

I reside in Roseville, this is one of the worst places to live the people of this city are unfriendly I have had my house and trucks broken into about 8 times. they just broke into my shed the other day, the thing is if you ask a neighbor if they saw anyone they just look at you like you came from the Moon. I have been here for 14 years and I have only talked with 7 neighbors and when we moved in I was under the impression that we moved to a city where people hated anyone who they didn't know from school. I stay here cause I don't have the money to move and being my house is under construction I can't sell it, so I'm stuck here, If anyone was thinking of moving to Roseville and you didn't grow up here I would say look else where. the people and city Goverment are not friendly by any means. But if your a mean person you would like it here.

Dang it-do i ever envy you!! .....

Just about drove all over the country and have to say my favorite strip of road/country to see is that stretch of land/peninsula which is 15/20 miles of the most beautiful country i've ever seen. Nothing beats the fresh cherries in one of the many stands they have along the road. Love being able to see the rolling hills, chateaues/vineyards and the water all at the same time!

It is also the place i first took my wife for our first real date in which we went swimming by the peninsula tip.(lighthouse) So that area is special to us in a sentimental way too!

If i ever 'hit big', that'll be the place (Old Mission Peninsula area) for my summer home!

Woodhaven, MI

"Downriver" Living seems pretty nice, reminds me of VA. Lot less hustle and bustle of North of Detroit. So far so good.

Count me among the envious. I've long dreamed of moving up that way.

Born and raised in Port Huron, moved around the country ( Colorado, New York, Oklahoma) Lived in Lansing (MSU), Brighton and now Pinckney. Been here in Pinckney for about 11 years. At first it was really hard to adjust to because it seemed so far from everything but we are finally used to driving into Ann Arbor or Brighton for everything. Like the rural feel out here on our little acre.

Dexter is a great little town. Just don't try to pass thru at 5 p.m. on a weekday !!!
Crazy amount of traffic for such a little place.
