[Trail twister]

A nice little town on the north east shore of Big Bay De Noc. Very good place to spend some summer time, fishing the bay for the walleye that get top rateing from many fishing cronicals. Many an out of stater find their way to Rapid River to fish for the walleye in the fall when the monsters are biting too. The boat lunch at hunts point has a big parking lot and is paved.
We also find the snowmobileing in the area to be great. Not the crouds of other towns but the trails are well groomed and marked. We try to make it for at least one trip a year.
We have also had good luck deer hunting the area lots of federal lands where you can spend two weeks in the woods and never see another person. Not far out of town there is a cross country ski trail, part of the cross the UPPER Hiaiwath trail system.
