We have finally arrived -- according to Channel 2 Fox News, we are #1 in Foreclosures and #2 in mortgage delinquencies. Not surprising, but it is disappointing.

I heard just yesterday that we are #3 in foreclosures. Or maybe that was just for my county.

Nope, that's not true. Here's the 2007 lists of the states with the highest foreclosures in June 2007 (Courtesy of MSN Money):

1. Nevada
2. California
3. Colorado
4. Florida
5. Arizona
6. Ohio
7. Michigan
8. Georgia
9. Conneticut
10. Indiana

Of course, this is two months out of date, but I doubt that Michigan could have jumped six places in only wo short months. I think you're just disgruntled with the housing market, causing you to be more pessemistic about the situation than you should be.

Actually, I saw some GOOD news concerning Michigan's housing market.

I've been watching MSNBC's Hot or not? Housing markets across America for almost 9 months now while our house has been on the market. Most of that time, Michigan and Ohio occupied the vast majority of the bottom 20 spots (the COOL market). Reaso I kept an eye on it was Monroe, MI was always on the list.

So I checked the list again today. For the first time, only one spot is a MI city and NOT a single OH city. MI and OH have all been replaced in the COOL market by CA and FL. Hot or not? Housing areas across America - Real Estate - MSNBC.com

Granted, MI probably hasn't moved far up the list but at least we are NO LONGER IN THE BOTTOM!!!! Liz

No that's not true about being pessemistic, just a realist and a little anxious. MSN Money or Fox -- who really knows? All of the public hears and reads different information. Fox said it, I didn't -- whether they are fair and balanced or not. Any information that is not true should not be said publicly. If anyone watched the news yesterday morning, they heard this information also. Thanks for your list -- keep sharing and eventually the truth will come to light from some source.
