Default what would I be paying for this in marquette mi

What would be a realistic price range for a 2200-3000 sq ft 4 bedroom 2 bath on at least 5 acres within 10-15 minutes of marquette. I have lots of children that is why I need the space thanks for any and all input

Probably around 200 - 250K, you can do a quick search on the internet and see what is for sale.

I live 8 minutes from Marquette and I agree with the previous poster. If you were willing to drive 30 minutes the price would drop considerably to the $140k + range.
Marquette is the "metropolis" of the U.P. and fairly pricey. If you were to consider any other of the "bigger" towns in the U.P. you could pay a LOT less.

Default Are there that many

high paying jobs in Marquette to support a high housing price base? I know you have a college and a hospital but in general what is the median income.

The median individual income in Marquette is $29.9K and median family income is $48.1K. About 7.2% of the families live below the poverty line. The specific housing question with the proximity to the city and acreage drives the price which seems reasonable because the University and Hospital certainly drives salaries that can support a higher end housing market. There also is generational wealth based on land ownership of significant land. But as other responders have indicated, significantly lower home prices are available as the distance from Marquette increases.

We are driving up at the end of this month to see Escanaba and the Marquette-Ishpeming areas. We would like to talk to companies who offer long term rentals of houses, with snow plowing included in the contract.
