That's a great time up there. I plan on going within the next 2-3 weeks myself. I travel off road almost all the way. Looking forward to this trip in my freshly built Samurai Tin Top. There is some really wild country I have not seen in over 30 years between Here in Marquette and the Copper Country, about 200 miles the way I go off road.

There was an article in a magazine called "The New Farm" I think, that had a picture of a U.P. farm on the cover. The article inside was about the farming area I think at the base of the Keweenaw Peninsula and how it had survived the farm crisis back in the 80's I am thinking. I think the magazine was a Rodale publication, but I am not sure. I know the article made me want to move up there.

There is a small farming belt over there all the way up to Chassel. Lots of strawberries in July also.
