Default LELAND WINE & FOOD FESTIVAL! June 9

On Saturday, June 9, Leland will be the place to be if you love (or want to learn about) Northern Michigan Wine and tasty Leelanau Cty food.

15 Leelanau and Old Mission wineries, a dozen fine local food providers, live music all day, and maybe the best location anywhere, the Leland Township marina and park right on Lake Michigan and next door to historic Fishtown. Fishtown Preservation
Just a 30 minute drive northwest of Traverse City, the harbor village of Leland has great restaurants, lots of unique shops and galleries, tremendous sand beaches, and...who doesn't like food and wine?

I just hope the weather is better than last year...but it could hardly be worse. It was collllddd...drizzly, generally miserable, but we all managed to have such a good time under those big tents, all the tasty food, the great wine...dancing to the music, in jackets and raincoats. lol
The forecast looks like GREAT weather, clear and in the 70s. We're ready to rock!
We love Leland too! Smoked fish...mmmmm

Thanks for posting the pics. Who needs the east coast ( I know it's nice though) when we've got such great fishing right here in Michigan. Between the cheese shanty and the fish shop I'm a happy person.

I hope they get all the construction equipment moved out of the parking lot before Saturday! Years ago this was a great event; it is now so big that the intimacy is gone.

The intimacy may be gone, but its a real tribute to to the wine and food industry in this area. You can keep a good thing down!
