Default South Lyon information needed

Hi, can anyone comment on living in South Lyon? I'm looking to buy a home in Trotter's Point (north of 11 Mile and west of Pontiac Trail) or Hidden Creek (north of 9 Mile and west of Pontiac Trail). I've got two young kids and both neighborhoods seem to be very kid-populated, which is great. Any opinions about the city or these subdivisions? Thanks!

I lived in South Lyon for several years. I loved it! Both those subdivisions are very nice. The area is wonderful... close to Mayberry, Island Lake Rec Area (nice lakes for swimming in the summer, check out Spring Mill Pond there), and a number of smaller parks/playgrounds. There's a "Rails to Trails" that cuts through the town, very nice for walks or bike rides. It's pretty convenient to get to the city, but far enough away to have a nice "country" feel. Easy to get to Ann Arbor, too. Nice library, good schools. I think you'll like it.
