Trust me, I know what you mean. I am from East Texas where the temps are seldom below 100 in the summer with 100% humidity... but I moved to GET AWAY from it! LOL
We definitely are in BAD need of rain. I feel bad for the people with money in crops right now because they aren't doing well at all. My grass is brown and crunchy.

I liked the 100s we had maybe a week or so ago. now it's kinda cool for summer. or feels like that after the 100s.
i had to work outside, and while everyone complained i actually kinda liked it.
my house doesn't have ac, and i didn't find it too hard to sleep. i didn't bother digging out my fan but i did wake up in the middle of the night and take a cold shower.
the mornings are kinda crisp now, let it warm up again
and rain and thunderstorm too

I'd give anything for a couple of thunderstorms, or even some sprinkles. I think we're going on 3 or 4 weeks with no rain around here.

I would also like to take bets on this. The last time we had severe drought/heat like this might be as far back as 1936. Sadly, we were probably due for a summer like this to come around.
