Upper 80s this week. Last week we set records for this area with temps over 100. Supposed to be in the mid 90s again next week. (Average high temps for this time of year in this area are mid 70s)

All last week it was in the mid to upper 90s. The next 10 days seem alright being in the upper 80s. Though what really sucked last week was how dry it was most of the time. But I'll take dry heat over humidity anytime as long as the trees don't catch fire.

Looking forward to our vacation in the UP at the end of the month. Would LOVE to move up there!! It's getting harder and harder to leave our cabin everytime I do it.

You know, if I were still living in CA, I would have laughed when I read the temps you two posted- but having lived in heat in the 80's and 90's WITH high humidity? I laugh no more, lol- we had it hit 103 here the other day with high humidity, and mercy it was miserable!

I'm not as worried about the heat as I am about the dryness. I live in a rural area, so I'm reminded every day that the crops are hurting really bad right now. And there is no guaranteed rain in sight. Hopefully the thunderstorms on Saturday and Sunday will come to pass.

Where I live everyone's lawn is just brown. I noticed even in town where folks water it's still all brown. The man who cuts my grass called me the other day to see if I wanted him to come cut the weeds. This is about all I've got left. The corn looks like it's really suffering to. We need a good downpour!

This week has been wonderful up here, as far as the temps go, a perfect mid 70's with a nice breeze off the lake.
Calling for rain this weekend, but it really doesn't look that promising or very much. We need rain bad!
