Hello~ We are interested in purchasing a home in Bridgman, Michigan and want to find out if anyone has any information about Bridgman (good & bad). I definately want to make sure the neighborhood we choose is family friendly and close to the beach for my kids to enjoy.

Also, I noticed Cook Power plant is nearby....should I be concerned? Are there any issues with the power plant and would there be issues living close to a power plant?

Looking forward to any feedback!

Bridgman is known for their good schools. However, we were discussing that at work last week and a coworker said a friend of hers told her they are having some bullying issues. I'm not sure about Cook power plant, but I think there are always some people who will have concerns with living near them and/or their safety. NRC.gov has public info if you type "cook" into the search. I live near a different (bordering "unsafe") power plant and thus far it hasn't affected me.
