Thumbs up Fremont

I'd like to find people who can tell me about living in the Fremont, MI area. I understand the economy in Michigan has been hit but I'm more concerned about the long term living of the area.

Default Lived up there for years

I moved away from Hesperia, about 15 mi away from Fremont, and I tell ya its a cute little town. Everyone up there is a sweetheart. Im a chitty city dwelller now, and I really miss Fremont. There are jobs, though not like you would see in urban areas. You get jobs by getting to know people up there. But the cost of living is cheap cheap cheap.

Fremont is a very nice little town. I love it. It has some quaint little shops and restaurants, but also a Super Wal-mart. The whole town pretty much circulates around the Gerber factory. They even have the Gerber baby festival there every year. The housing in the area is very affordable and the schools are nice. The medical care is less than desirable, in my opinion, but that may just be me. Good luck!

I wouldn't say that. When I went to Gerber Memorial Hospital when I was vacationing up north, I was under the impression thatt it is a very well run and modern facility.
