Lot of people didn't like or didn't know much about DeVos. If you watched the debates, he looked lost. Money does not buy an election!

Yeah this question will fall on dead ears cause no one wants to admit they Voted for a Brain Dead person like Grandhole. With what she did as far as the Primary Vote the Democrats aren't even coming to Michigan, Way to Go Jenny, Another one of her F%$#ed moves. Isn't it funny how Michigan is the ONLY State in the Country that is in a Ressession. I don't know why everyone isn't crying to Recall the Governor, But that's right Democrats don't call for a recall on fellow Democrats. Hey maybe some of the Democrats could get Al Gore to come to Michigan cause we know he paid all kinds of Money to win the Presidental Election He just didn't pay enough. Maybe this time he can buy his way in.Cause if Hillary gets elected well then the whole country will be in a Ressession so I guess that will be good for Michigan

I did not vote for her either time. I voted for Bruchard in the first election. He did not lose by much. And in the second election I voted for Devos. Devos was good man, and I believe for Michigan he could have done better than Granholm, but he just does not carry himself well. When he debated, he looked lost, he has trouble speaking and getting his point across. When you meet him face to face, you really do wonder how someone with the personality of a chalk board made it as a business man. I guess it was good his father started the business and had it established before Devos got a hold of it. Devos made Alticor better and more successful, but there is no way he could have started a business from ground up on his own. He just does not have the personal relationship skills required.

Anyway, the biggest reason I did not vote for Granholm, besides all her lying and complaining about how nothing was her fault, was because she flat out said many times in this last election that she would raise taxes to balance the budget... and she stuck to that promise.

More than 50% of voters voted for her twice. That's who.

I did, partly on the strength of her promise that she would not lay off any more state employees. I was laid off a few weeks after her re-election.

But that's nothing. Think how many times Engler got re-elected as he laid waste the state's economy while lining his own pockets. At least Granholm is TRYING to fix it.

I just got my first paycheck since the change in the income tax. The difference is negligible, I'm very happy to say. You guys had me sweating bullets.

I voted for her because I felt an obligation to vote and the Republicans did not put up a viable candidate. It sucks because I still think we'd be in the same boat if Devos were driving (don't kid yourselves). Let's hope next year there is some fresh blood.

I voted for Granholm, despite some misgivings, simply because I wanted all the Republicans everywhere to be trounced as thoroughly as possible. I question Granholm's competence in some respects, but I question the Republicans' decency and sanity.

Default Lost at sea?

Prior to the last elections, I did a lot of research and listened to their political position including that of Mr. Devos. Evidently not enough. I worked at Alticor (alias Amway) for about 6 months in their tech support department. I was a temporary and during my time there, I saw Amway let other temporaries go (after a year on the job) to comply with IRS regulations, and then bring them back as temporaries for another period of time. I'm not exactly sure why they do this but I suspect that in addition to other reasons, it saves them money by not providing benefits.

This kind of behavior from a candidate running for Governor, who advocates creating jobs and anybody who has ever done temporary work, does so with the hope that it may lead to full time employment. Unfortunately, it generally does not. I didn't vote for him because of my experience working at his company.

Quite frankly, I don't know what to believe anymore. Politicians, like so many people, tell everyone what they want you to know or what serves them best. Right or wrong, it doesn't seem to matter. It's all about power, prestige, money or furthering their careers. I see it everyday on my job. People don't seem to have much integrity these days and many just don't care.

Our current Governor won't put a cap on drawing welfare, so the state is like a magnet for those wanting to live off the Government here. I could be wrong, but this state is one of two, where there are no limits on drawing welfare thus we have many doing so. Additionally, why do we serve as a dumping ground for Canada's garbage? Can't they dispose of their own?

Did I vote for Granholm? Yes, and I've been kicking myself ever since! Next time around, I'm not voting for any incumbents. I don't know if it will make a difference, but this state can't afford mistakes like the one I made last time.

Well, I obviously didn't vote since I just moved here! But my question is: when is the next election? I'll be curious to see what kind of candidates it brings out. And maybe, just maybe, it will prompt me to get my MI residency, so I can vote, lol! I've been here for 4 months now and still haven't gotten around to that. Maybe tomorrow...
