I live in Tucson now, but was born and raised in Michigan outside of Detroit....there is NOTHING like a Michigan fall.....It's my favorite time of the year and every single year since the 80's I have been homesick in the fall.....nothing changes here in Arizona where I live! No one but God could create those beautiful color and crisp fall air! If you still reside in Michigan, take a deep breath while walking through the woods and be thankful you are there to enjoy it!

It is a busy and fun time for us. Hubby deer hunts. There is lots to do. This year he is going to Canada, moose hunting. Had to buy a second freezer.

Fall is the best season here, I agree. The hills around Traverse City, the first two weeks of October, are just about my favorite place on earth.

That's about the only thing I think would bother me about AZ, when I visit, I realize that it looks the same everyday... I suppose it would be better than the changes when you wonder if you will be able to afford propane....

The "Indian Summer" or Fall is THE best time of year in Michigan. I so miss the beautiful landscape of colorful leaves falling. I remember the walk home from my neighborhood school taking an hour when it should have only taken 10 minutes. We had a ball frolicking in the leaves.

Falls are gross. Brown & Orange everywhere? Yeah, real pretty. Pretty depressing.

Plus it's usually rainy, windy and chilly and the "great colors" only last a few weeks. Then, all the leaves fall and Michigan's trees which cover the landscape look like giant dead thorn-bushes for the next 6-8 months.

Beautiful, indeed! </sarcasm>

I *heart* Michigan fall! I didn't care for the 80º temps in October though. I spent two days at a hospital in Petoskey and it was absolutely beautiful!
