I think there should be a separate forum/channel/whatever for Grand Rapids and/or West Michigan. (like Detroit has) Anyone agree?

Makes sense to me - it has the population and what's happening in the GR metro is quite different from what's happening in SE MI.

Yes, I think so. We should petition the administrators here.
Just my $.02. |

Like I just wrote about the idea for a Buffalo sub-forum in NY, we're creating new sub-forum based on forum activity levels. If I see more active threads about Grand Rapids, I'll create this sub-forum.

There have already been quite a few discussion threads about Grand Rapids:
City-Data Forum - Search Results And I think if GR had its own section, it would probably grow. I would help get it going. The general Michigan section is turning people away because of the incessant negativity. I know I don't come around as much as I used to because it's like watching someone pick at a nasty scab. ![]() |

I'd love to see a West MI sub-forum as opposed to just Grand Rapids.
I know I'd read that and post a heck of a lot more there. |

I also favor a Grand Rapids forum...pretty please???
