As I travel west on I-96 at the New Hudson exit, there is a landfill there on the opposite side of the road (the South side). At the top of the landfill is a big sheet of wood or steel standing up that has a cut out of man.

Does anyone know why that is there? What is the meaning?

It creeps me out, but I don't understand why.

It is a PARK. Used to be landfill. Great place to fly kites on the toxic wasteland.

It is a neat park. Great views. Sure they had to pay to put a bunch of places on city water when the dump contaminated their wells, but it is a neat park. (Just avoid breathing deeply when visiting).

It looks like a landfill from the highway, which I guess it was. Doesn't look too park-y.

What's up with the man cut-out? Is it just supposed to be fun? I think it's weird. Does it serve some purpose from the other side?

It's just a "fun" decoration to look at when driving by.

At least they caught that guy from last fall that was randomly shooting at cars along 96. Remember that crazy story? Luckily no one was killed. One poor guy was shot in the buttocks on the way to a Tigers game (and ended up missing the game) tho.

I remember that from this forum, but never heard the outcome. How did they get him?

Wasn't quite "random"... I heard he was only shooting at people who were texting while driving.

And if that was the case, was it really a bad thing? lol

Like the kid in the article, that guy on 96 just bugs me. LOL How silly is that?
