Eau Claire "Love Industries"
Does anyone have any information on a company named " Love Industries" in the Eau Claire area?
I'm assuming they have long since closed, they were a manufacture of farm equipment for use with 40s Jeeps and Empire tractors.
Any info at all appreciated!
Thanks,
Doug

I don't know of any Love Company that sells farm equipment in Eau Clair (there is an Eau Clair, Michigan btw)...but there is a Love Inc of Niles, MI...which is not far from Eau Clair... I don't know what they sell, but their number is 269-684-1630.
Hope that helps,
Debra

Love Industries in Eau Claire, Michigan
I read your posting asking about Love Industries. Yes, they were located in Eau Claire, Michigan. The Company was owned by JB Love and they did manufacture tractors and Jeeps back in the 40's. As a matter of fact one of our council members actually worked there.
I do not have a lot of information at this time, but I could do some digging for you. Is there something specific you are looking for?

Thanks for the info so far!
I recently acquired a "Love" three point hitch that was made for use on a 40s-50s CJ2a Jeep. I'm sure there's not a lot of specific info out there on these as they appear to be very rare to almost nonexistent, but ANY little tidbit is appreciated.
If the council Member has any company literature or even a letter head I would greatly appreciate a photo copy.
Thanks,
Doug

Yes love inc. went out of business in the 40's. Jabez Love sold his designs and plans and they began making the Friday tractor and implements. It looks like a Love but its name was changed to Friday. Jabez Love was my father-in-law but he passed away many years ago around late 70's. www.hartfordmichigan.com/hartford history. It gives you a little bit of the info about the history.

I have a picture of a Friday tractor which looks like a Love. In fact I was told it was a love but I had never seen one. I took the picture and when I blew it up I could make out Friday Tractor on the side and on the front plate. Now I know why it looked like a Love because they used Jabe's designs. LOL
