Question Grand Blanc Taxes Why So High?

HI!
My family and I are considering moving to Grand Blanc MI from Macomb MI. One problem we are finding is that their taxes are higher than ours? Why is this? Does their taxes include something like trash pick-up that our does not? I'm confused. The cost of living is suppose to be lower in Grand Blanc than it is Macomb. A $2000 a year difference in taxes is pretty big. If anyone can shed some light on this I'd sure appreciate it!
Thanks!
Jennifer

I checked the mills from the City of Grand Blanc website. The mills is significantly higher than Ada, MI's (Cascade Township in Kent County). I'm not familiar with Grand Blanc. Did you look outside of GB and see if the taxes are lower?

Good luck!
