Whoever told you that either didnt know what they were talking about or they were pulling your leg. Either way, if you fell for it, you must be very gullible and must not get out very much.

Actually the tap water in Austin is rated as among the best in the entire nation. And thats a fact.

Well you should've qualified that. I would agree that I don't think I've ever seen someone in a restaurant drinking tap water. Maybe at Chipotle or Panera, but not a restaurant with servers.

Some sixteen years ago, I was preggers and kinda fretful. We had the water tested by some company that comes out and does that sort of thing. We were told that the water quality here is among the best in the nation! Lots of other information too. Lots 'o lakes is a good thing!

EWG Tap Water Database 2009

Now go read up on the "facts".
Mainly because this list measures cities that are over 250,000 in population. Outside of Detroit, no cities in Michigan are over 250,000 and Detroit's water department seem to lag behind in data reporting.

I avoid city water.

We have a pass/fail we meet with our wells.......no contamination.

City water is treated to an expectable level of poo......

Just wondering...does the EPA require that the water be laboratory tested for every well that you drill?
Also, what is your comment on city water based on, specifically?
