I searched and didn't find a great deal about this small SW Michigan town.

In looking at real estate online I notice a ton of foreclosures there. Are they in the process of rolling up the sidewalks in Sturgis?

Does the town still have shops in a downtown area, or have the marts and minimalls snuffed out the old way, like everywhere else?

What kind of reputation do the public schools have?

Finally, does anyone know why housing is so much cheaper in Sturgis than in similar sized town acrosss the border in Indiana?

Or were the sidewalks in Sturgis rolled up long ago?
