PEP BOYS is an Auto Service and Repair store with a large Parts and Supply Dept, and Show room.
They're in Ca. too.
I've sued them for replacing unessisary part. I had just replace the "ignition coil" in a 1972 El Camino (350). I was in the Hospital for surgery and my wife couldn't get it started (the coil wire was off) so she had it towed to Pep Boys. They replaced the (new) coil and charged 1600.00. I had the old(new) one test to show it was good and took them to court.

I moved from MI to AZ, besides my family being in MI, I don't miss it one bit. I am in a employees market now vs employers market in MI, where employers litterly get 2000 resumes for every new position. I've turned down GOOD paying govt. jobs here in AZ just because I've had alot to choose from

I do live in michigan for now,I should be out of michigan in couple months(got the apartment all set up now),it is michigan is by far the WORST state the job market is completely terrible its soo hard to get a job here and it kinda pisses me off and the weather sucks aswell! It gets cold and makes my mom waste money on heater. And im not trying to stir up trouble,I mean you suggesting a resident in michigan cant complain?Ever thought why are people complaining? You dont here much people in other states complaing but why?
If you were in my position you would complain to,I mean you gonna sit there and say "Yes life is great I have a job,my state is soo wonderful and its easy to get a job",you may have that mentality but the same cannot be said about me,come to michigan try to live here for atleast a month and tell me if you can find a job.You will see how difficult and hard it is.

I too, no longer live in Michigan, but it was by choice. I left my job and family to move out to CO with my S.O. to be by his family and have a new adventure. I think everyone should experience living somewhere else.
I love it out here, but I also loved Michigan, especially the summers on Lake Michigan. I know that some day when I get married and have children that I will move back to MI or New York (where my S.O. is from) to be close to family and memories and tradition.
And seriously....if you look at the other states' forums, there is not this negativity. I just don't get what is up with some of the posters in the Michigan forum because everyone I know loves it there and would never leave, no matter how tough things got.

BINGO!!!Other people from other states dont complain about their state because their state doesnt suck and has a good market their is a REASON michigan residents complain, wonder why their is soo much negativetly?
Their is a reason people dont say postive stuff,if michigan needs to be fixed, the government needs to listen to the residents complain but as for now, seems like that is not solution the best is too move out of this state and enjoy other state's privileges.
Its no wonder michigan's population is decreasing, but ever wonder why?
Think about it.

Michigan has it's own back-up's. If the economy got too bad, it could always turn to the business of "Logging" again, but this time of course "controlled" to avoid the consequences.
or it may become a "retirment state".

This thread isnt just another "oh michigan sucks, blabla"this thread is about a concerned resident of michigan who doesnt like how michigan is going ever wonder why michigan gets soo much negative comments rather then postive?
Ever wonder why michigan's population is decreasing and people are moving out?Ever wonder why michigan is considered one of the most depressing states?Ever wonder why michigan has some of the worst job market?Ever wonder why michigan doesnt attract many tourist or visters?
Ask yourself these questions then you may see why me and others complain about this worthless state.

The weather here in MI sucks now (unless you like cold and gloom) so there's a reason to see more negativity than during the summer months. The economy in MI sucks right now. The price of gas here in MI is one of the highest in the country. The number of foreclosures in MI is one of the highest in the country. We just had both a state income tax and sales tax increase. We have negative population growth because people are moving elsewhere. Property values are plummeting. People that might want to move can't because they can't sell their home. There are some legitimate reasons behind the negative posts...
