Default Dallas to Detroit Route

Hi~

Checking for my boss who has had a death in the family and has to make an emergency trip to just outside of Detroit. Any suggested routes and stopping points? He will be traveling with his mother who just had open heart surgery and they will need to make frequent stops. If you are familiar with making this trip I need your advice!! Thanks so much in advance~

I have gone: 30 to Little Rock, AR; then 40 to Nashville, TN; then 65 to Louisville, KY; then 71 between Louisville and south of Cincinnati, OH where you will pick up 75, straight into Detroit.

Stop as needed. I tend to drive forever according to the wife, so no real recommendations for stops along the way. There are plenty of places though along the way.

I was going to give the same route listed above, you run into about 7 major cities. I didnt choose this route due to the fact of all the big cities, simply because its much safer as it seems for him in his situation.

Every one of the larger cities have bypasses that you don't even get close enough to see most of the city itself. Been through most of them at what would be considered rush hour and it isn't too bad. Unless they are doing construction, Which makes EVERY road a pain in the butt.
